If you are in severe pain, you may wish to take a painkiller or pain reliever, for example, Panadol (if you are not allergic to it) before proceeding to the dental clinic. You may also request for a pain reliever when you are at the dental clinic reception. Before the medicine can be provided to you, please let us know about your medical health condition and all your drug allergies. You will be required to be registered as a patient at the clinic. Generally, most pain medications would take about 30 to 45 minutes to start working. When you see the dentist, you may inform the dentist of your severe pain and request for a local anaesthetic injection to relieve the pain. This should work in about 1 to 2 minutes.
