CHAS Dental Subsidy

We are a CHAS-approved dental clinic. CHAS dental subsidy can help to reduce the cost of dental care, making it more affordable for Singapore Citizens. We accept valid Orange and Blue CHAS cards, Merdeka generation (mg) and Pioneer Generation (pg) cards. 

Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS

CHAS stands for Community Health Assist Scheme. It is a government subsidy scheme that helps Singaporeans and Permanent Residents pay for their healthcare expenses. CHAS provides subsidies for a variety of healthcare services, including dental services.

To be eligible for CHAS subsidies, you must be a Singaporean or Permanent Resident and you must meet certain income and asset requirements. You can find more information about CHAS eligibility on the Ministry of Health (MOH) website.

If you are eligible for CHAS subsidies, you can use them to pay for dental services at our clinic and this facility is entitled to namely the CHAS blue orange or green, Merdeka generation (mg) and Pioneer Generation (pg) card holders. The amount of subsidy that you will receive will depend on your CHAS tier.

Who is Eligible for CHAS Dental Subsidy?

All Singapore Citizens are eligible to apply for the Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS). CHAS benefits are tiered according to household monthly income per person or the Annual Value (AV) of the home. Public Assistance (PA) cardholders do not need to apply for CHAS, as they can already receive subsidies (Full CHASE Subsidy) by showing the PA card.

You can apply for CHAS online. Singapore Citizens aged 21 years and older can also apply for CHAS on behalf of their family members.

Types of CHAS Cards

There are three types of CHAS cards: Blue, Orange, and Green. The colour of the card indicates the level of subsidy that the cardholder is entitled to.

  • CHAS Blue card is for households with the lowest income and household per capita monthly income of up to $1,500. Cardholders will receive subsidies for all types of medical services, including common illnesses, selected chronic conditions, and dental services.
  • CHAS Orange card is for households with lower income and household per capita monthly income of $1,501 to $2,500. Cardholders will receive subsidies for common illnesses and selected chronic conditions.
  • CHAS Green card is for households with higher income and household per capita monthly income of $2,501 to $3,500. Cardholders will receive subsidies for common illnesses only.

Pioneer Generation (PG) and Merdeka Generation (MG) seniors also get special CHAS subsidies. The PG or MG card also serves as their CHAS card.

    • Cleanings
    • Fillings
    • Extractions
    • Root canals
    • Crowns
    • Bridges
    • Dentures
    • Implants

How much must I pay?

In order to receive subsidised treatment, you will need to make an appointment with us and present both your CHAS card and your NRIC upon registration.

Baby Bonus Scheme CDA

Smilepoint is a Baby Bonus-approved institution. Therefore, funds from Child Development Accounts (CDAs) can be used for dental treatment for the child and their siblings.

AIA dental Insurance

AIA

Smilepoint at Holland Village is an AIA-accredited clinic. This means that patients with AIA Dental coverage can receive treatment at Smilepoint and be reimbursed by AIA.

Smilepoint is a CPF Medisave-accredited dental clinic for dental surgery, so Singapore citizens and permanent residents can use their MediSave savings to pay for these procedures
